The Bridge Between Equipment and Intelligence
CubeIoT is not just a piece of hardware — it is the complete interfacing process of collecting data from industrial equipment and sensors, converting it into a unified protocol, and delivering it to the SynTag platform for visualization and analytics.
Using IoT controllers connected to machines via RS485, RS232, analog (4–20mA), and digital I/O, CubeIoT reads raw signals — temperatures, pressures, flow rates, machine states, energy readings — and converts them into structured MQTT messages that are sent to SynTag in real time. The controller is one part of this process; CubeIoT is the entire data pipeline from sensor to screen.
How CubeIoT Works
Equipment & Sensors
Motors, meters, PLCs, temp probes, pressure transducers, flow sensors
CubeIoT Controller
Reads raw signals, converts to structured data, publishes via MQTT
SynTag Platform
Dashboards, alarms, analytics, and operational visibility
Serial Interfacing
Connect to equipment via RS485 (Modbus RTU) and RS232 to read registers from PLCs, energy meters, VFDs, and other serial devices. CubeIoT polls registers and converts responses to MQTT topics.
Analog Signal Capture
Read 4–20mA and 0–10V analog signals from sensors — temperature, pressure, level, flow — and digitize them into calibrated engineering values published over MQTT.
Digital I/O Monitoring
Detect machine states (running, stopped, faulted) through isolated digital inputs. Trigger outputs for alarms, indicators, or control signals based on logic rules.
MQTT Output to SynTag
All collected data is unified into structured MQTT messages and published to the SynTag broker. Topic naming follows ISA-95 / UNS conventions for clean data organization.
The CubeIoT Controller
At the heart of the CubeIoT process is our custom IoT controller — an ESP32-S3 based industrial hub with built-in protocol interfaces and CubeWorks firmware.

| Power | 7V–36V DC or PoE |
| Serial | RS485 (isolated, Modbus RTU) + RS232 |
| Analog | 4–20mA / 0–10V inputs |
| Digital I/O | 8 DI (isolated) + 8 DO (open-drain) |
| Network | Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 LE |

Why CubeIoT?
- Process, Not Just Product:
- CubeIoT is the complete interfacing methodology — from wiring to a sensor to seeing live data in SynTag. The controller is one piece of the puzzle.
- Any-Protocol-to-MQTT:
- RS485, RS232, analog 4–20mA, digital I/O — CubeIoT speaks every interface language and unifies them into clean MQTT messages.
- SynTag Native:
- Purpose-built to feed data directly into the SynTag platform — structured topics, calibrated values, zero middleware.
- Brownfield Ready:
- Connect to existing legacy equipment without replacing anything. CubeIoT taps into what's already there.
